        FRIDAY SOUPS

Our winter season of Friday Soups finished on Good Friday cumulating in a fun filled Easter Extravaganza!

We have had a very successful season and I would like to thank all soup makers, servers and all the folk who supported us through the weeks.  Your soups have been much appreciated.

I would also like to say a special thank you to Campbell Sangster, for his delightful music, Marie McGregor, for her baking and tablet making, Hugh Steele, for so many things it would fill this page, Ina for collecting the money each week and laundering the linen, Irene Dick for supplying the egg each week and Tom Ovens for putting out the tables.  You all make my life much easier and I appreciate each one of you!

I know those who come for the delicious soups also come for Marie’s tablet and baking.  Marie has religiously baked for us every week and the baking just disappears so quickly!  Marie has made a remarkable £359 from her efforts and this has brought our grand total to £3750!

We are always on the lookout for more volunteers to join the rota (one pot before Christmas and one pot before Easter), so if you think you can help, please contact me Margaret Spence on 522300, I would love to hear from you.

Thank you for visiting  the website of  Skelmorlie and Wemyss Bay Parish Church – we very much hope you will be able to join us for Sunday morning worship which begins at 11.30 am throughout the year.

All are welcome at this beautiful sanctuary on the Shore Road in Skelmorlie. Parking is available directly across from the church with a beautiful view across the River Clyde.

You are warmly invited to share in the fellowship at the close of morning worship over a cup of tea or coffee.
